Backend Engineer (Python)

We are hiring Backend Engineers (Python) to design, build, and scale backend services that power our B2B SaaS platform. This role is hands-on and focused on building reliable, secure, and high-performance systems that support enterprise-grade workloads.

You will work closely with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver backend services used by customers at scale.

Backend Development & APIs

• Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Python
• Build scalable, maintainable, and testable code for production environments
• Implement business logic, workflows, and integrations with internal and external systems

Data & Storage

• Design and manage data models using relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Optimize queries and improve performance for high-volume data access
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and reliability

System Reliability & Performance

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for backend services
• Participate in debugging, incident resolution, and root cause analysis

Security & Best Practices

• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data-protection practices
• Follow coding standards, testing practices, and documentation guidelines
• Contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with Product Managers to understand requirements and trade-offs
• Collaborate with Frontend and DevOps engineers on end-to-end delivery
• Support CI/CD pipelines and production releases

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of experience in backend development using Python
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
• Hands-on experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Understanding of cloud-based architectures and production environments

Preferred Experience

• Experience building SaaS platforms or enterprise-grade systems
• Familiarity with message queues, background jobs, or event-driven systems
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with system design for scalability and reliability
