Role overview

We are hiring Backend Engineers (Python) to design, build, and scale backend services that power our B2B SaaS platform. This role is hands-on and focused on building reliable, secure, and high-performance systems that support enterprise-grade workloads.

You will work closely with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver backend services used by customers at scale.

Key responsibilities

Backend Development & APIs

Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Python
Build scalable, maintainable, and testable code for production environments
Implement business logic, workflows, and integrations with internal and external systems

Data & Storage

Design and manage data models using relational and/or NoSQL databases
Optimize queries and improve performance for high-volume data access
Ensure data consistency, integrity, and reliability

System Reliability & Performance

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues
Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for backend services
Participate in debugging, incident resolution, and root cause analysis

Security & Best Practices

Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data-protection practices
Follow coding standards, testing practices, and documentation guidelines
Contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions

Collaboration & Delivery

Work closely with Product Managers to understand requirements and trade-offs
Collaborate with Frontend and DevOps engineers on end-to-end delivery
Support CI/CD pipelines and production releases

Qualifications

3–6+ years of experience in backend development using Python
Strong experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
Hands-on experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
Understanding of cloud-based architectures and production environments

Preferred Experience

Experience building SaaS platforms or enterprise-grade systems
Familiarity with message queues, background jobs, or event-driven systems
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with system design for scalability and reliability
