About this session
In this short, Orvera AI Founder and CEO Ali Merchant describes AI as an exoskeleton that people strap on rather than a replacement for them. It acts as a second brain, takes over repetitive tasks, and finds patterns in complex, scattered data that would be hard for a person to spot.
People still need to evaluate that output and make sure the AI is not hallucinating or missing something, so humans stay in the loop. Done well, AI lets teams scale and work faster and more accurately. The clip is designed for contact center and CX leaders deciding how AI and their teams should work together.
Key takeaways
What comes out of it
An exoskeleton, not a replacement. AI extends what people can do.
A second brain. It handles repetitive tasks and spots patterns in complex data.
Humans stay in the loop. People evaluate the output to catch hallucinations and gaps.
Teams that embrace it win. Scaling faster and more accurately depends on using AI well.

Ali Merchant 00:00:00.00 To me, AI is going to be more like an exoskeleton that humans can strap on. You know, it's a second brain, or it's taking over repetitive tasks, or it's finding patterns in complex, diffused data sets that would be hard for a human to pluck out. But you still need humans to evaluate it and understand it and make sure, again, it's not hallucinating or it's not missing something. And so there's always going to be a role for the humans in the loop, our ability to scale and do more, do it more quickly, do it more accurately. if we do it right, it's recruiting superhumans with second brains is what we're doing. And so the people that understand that and embrace it are the ones that are going to win in this new AI space.
